Breathing Guided Imagery Meditation - "The Seat"      Time 16:49

A lot of meditations tell us to breathe deeply, but what does that mean? This meditation begins by simply showing us what deep breathing means. The meditation guides you to put one hand on your stomach and one on your chest. This allows you to follow as the hand on your stomach extends first showing the correct way of diaphragmatic breathing, increasing the amount of oxygen that goes into your lungs. Beyond that, this meditation does a nice job of guiding you through imagery to stillness. You are then given about ten minutes without a guiding voice to allow you to have your own experience in the silence. “The Seat” meditation is an effective way to connect with your breath and find a place of stillness inside.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

Minfulness Based Stress Reduction is a program designed by Jon Cabat-Zinn in the 1970's to help students cope with stress. Since then it has become a world wide training program to help allevaite stress reduction. I took a 12 week Mindfulnes-Based Stress Reduction Program here is Vancouver. It has changed my life and helped me to focus, become more centered and present, and most importantly, reduce stress. The video is 33:01 long. Enjoy!

Third Eye Opening Binaural Beat Meditation      Time 62:00

For those who use meditation to get in touch with intuitive guidance in life, this is a unique approach that uses binaural beats. If you’re unfamiliar with the binaural beats, it is a series of tones and sounds that physically affect our brain wave states. This meditation does require headphones (preferably ear covering ones). The tones induce theta waves, which represent deep relaxation. It also can be thought of as the space between sleep and being awake. This video combines the binaural tones with contemplative questions (written on the screen) to help you listen to your own intuition on what to do in life. Big questions are asked, some of the ones without an answer such as “Who are you?” But by the end, the binaural tones combined with the contemplation can lead to profound insights into what you want to do next with your life, particularly if you’re at a crossroads with job, relationships, or direction at work. I recommend this meditation for those of you who tend to be contemplative or just want to experiment with binaural meditation. Keep a journal handy to record any major insights that may come.
